We're seeking a Project Engineer with an engineering background to deliver capital projects within a manufacturing environment. This role is hands-on, structured, and focused on equipment installation, automation, and production improvement.
Key Projects
- Installation of a new production line
- Production line upgrade - design and installation of a robotic depalletising system
The Role
- Deliver engineering projects from scope to handover, ensuring time, cost, and quality control
- Manage formal project change control, risk, and project governance
- Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and internal engineering teams
- Lead project gate reviews and report against KPIs
- Maintain site layouts, drawings, and technical documentation
- Resolve issues using root cause analysis in a live production environment
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years' experience delivering engineering or manufacturing projects
- Engineering background (manufacturing/FMCG/industrial)
- Experience working with production equipment, automation, or capital installs
- Comfortable applying structured project management controls
- AutoCAD experience beneficial (training available)
- Strong communicator, organised, and delivery-focused
- Full UK driving licence
