We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Senior Practitioner to join a dynamic Children's Social Work Team in Folkestone on a locum basis. Your new role

  • Provide high-quality social work services to children and their families.
  • Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions.
  • Supervise and support junior staff and social work students.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England registration.
  • Significant experience in children's social work, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
