Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Transport Contracts Administrator to join Stoke on Trent Council's Specialised Transport Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Role:

You will work closely with service users, families, providers, and professionals to ensure safe, effective, and value-for-money transport solutions are delivered across both education and social care settings.

Key Duties Include:

  • Managing and monitoring transport contracts and provider performance

  • Supporting panel processes for SEND and social care transport eligibility

  • Liaising with families, social care teams, SEN professionals, and transport operators

  • Gathering and analysing data to support procurement, quality assurance, and service improvement

  • Coordinating the mobilisation of new contracts and facilitating variations where needed

  • Handling FOI requests, complaints, and appeals in line with regulations

  • Supporting tendering, compliance, and financial monitoring activities

  • Using performance systems and tools to inform decision-making and strategy

Requirements:

  • Experience in commissioning, brokerage, or contract management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly across cohorts
  • Confidence in using IT systems and producing reports
