The company has been successfully operating for over 20 years and have delivered a wide range of new build and refurbishment projects across the UK that include doctor surgeries, hospitals, affordable housing and extra care facilities with project values ranging from £1M-20 Million.The company is looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor who has new build and refurbishment experience and can manage projects from inception through to final account. A candidate with project management experience would be highly desirable.You will be joining a friendly and supportive contractor who has long-term plans to grow and will offer a stable and interesting career.The Role of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Managing all project costs, saving money where applicable.
  • Manage allocated projects, packages and subcontractors, calculate and prepare all company valuations and final accounts.
  • Keep a tight control of variations on site.
  • Subcontract commercial control.
  • Valuations and payment control for positive cash flow.
  • Reporting, forecasting and risk management.
  • Develop subcontract and client relationships & communication.
  • Supply chain commercial improvement with suppliers and contractors.
  • Reporting and Commercial Awareness.
  • Project Management duties.

Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working for a Contractor.
  • New Build or Refurbishment experience.
  • HNC or Degree qualified.
  • Good knowledge of JCT forms of contracts.
  • Live within 1 hour of the office.
  • Happy to travel and manage projects throughout the UK.
