Reed Finance are delighted to be supporting a well-established & growing organisation with the recruitment of a new Financial Controller Opportunity.

The successful candidate will oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting. This role plays a key part in shaping and delivering the financial strategy of the business in collaboration with senior leadership, reporting into the Managing Director, and establishing strong working relationships with the wider group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance team and supervise the information systems (IS) function to meet departmental goals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across all levels of the business.
  • Support the final stages of an ERP upgrade and lead post-go-live reporting improvements.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
  • Manage cash flow, foreign currency transactions, and credit control.
  • Ensure compliance with group reporting policies, tax regulations, and inward processing relief procedures.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banking partners and external auditors.
  • Provide financial input into strategic decisions, including capex proposals, insurance, energy contracts, and property matters.
  • Support pension fund oversight and group-level financial responsibilities.

Candidate Profile

  • Professionally qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA).
  • 10+ years of experience in finance, with strong commercial acumen
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Results-driven, deadline-focused, and strategically minded
