Responsibilities and Duties
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs on a range of forklift trucks (diesel, gas, and electric)
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Provide a timely and professional response to customer breakdowns
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
- Support customers with technical advice and guidance when required
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working as a forklift engineer or in a similar mechanical/electrical engineering role is essential
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, C&G or equivalent) are desirable.
