Reliable General Foreman/Woman in Friston (Suffolk)

Role Details:

• Location: London(IP17Area)

• Duration:Ongoing
• Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 07:30-18:00
• Pay Rate:300 per shift (only pay PAYE Direct or Umbrella) depending on experience, qualifications and pay method

We are seeking a reliable and experienced General foreman/Woman to work for our tier 1 civil contractor in Friston IP7 as the main site, but as the project is new there is not site set up yet, so the candidate must be willing to travel to and from the contractors office in Chelmsford and Watford. Travel expenses would be covered.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and experienced General foreman/Woman to look after and manage the very first highway works on the project.

Role Overview:

As a reliable and experienced General foreman/Woman you will be managing a working highways team who will be completing highway works from road formation, kerb laying and all other aspects of highways on site. As the General foreman/Woman you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties, whilst keeping safety standards to a exceptional high standard including: At first you will be setting up the project with the project management team from the offices in Chelmsford/Watford to then be able to run and manage this works on site in Friston

Key Responsibilities working and knowledge of:

• Managing of the sub-contractors and self delivery work to a high standard (quality of work is paramount)
• Raise any issues to the sub-contractor and self delivery piers on the project
• Able to read and understand drawing
• Able to identify improvements and recommendations and be able to put this into practice.
• Able to carry out tests to ensure quality of the sub-contractors and self delivery work
• Following all health and safety procedures and following of RAMS

Requirements:

• Must have black managers CSCS card
• Must hold a minimum SMSTS
• Ideally hold basic First Aid
• Experience as a Foreman/woman isessential
• Experience in highway works isessential
• PPE will be provided.
• Strong attention to safety and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
