The Family Secretary will play a crucial role in supporting our solicitors and legal executives in the Family Law department. This position involves a combination of administrative duties, client interaction, and document management, requiring a high degree of discretion, efficiency, and sensitivity.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents including divorce petitions, care proceedings, and financial agreements

Managing correspondence, telephone calls, and emails with clients and third parties

Maintaining and organising client files in line with regulatory and confidentiality requirements

Coordinating appointments, court dates, and meetings

Assisting with billing, timesheets, and other administrative tasks as needed

Liaising with courts, barristers’ chambers, and other professionals
Key Requirements:

Previous experience in a legal secretary role, ideally within a family law department

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
