Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? We're looking for a Temporary Support Worker to join a vital service in Frome, supporting young people aged 16-25 who are at risk of homelessness and taking their first steps toward independent living.
About the Role:
You'll be working within supported accommodation, helping young people to build essential life skills, maintain tenancies, and move towards greater independence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting with daily living tasks such as budgeting, cooking, and managing appointments
- Helping young people navigate challenges and access local services
- Building trusting, empowering relationships
- Promoting personal development, confidence, and well-being
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with young people or in housing support (preferred)
- A proactive, patient, and non-judgemental approach
- Strong communication and boundary-setting skills
- A DBS registered on the Update Service is highly beneficial for a quick start
