Gainsborough | £44,500 | 4 on / 4 off | 9am–9:30pm (Flexible Weekend Start: 5am or 6am)

About the Role
Working on a 4-on / 4-off rota (12-hour shifts), you’ll be central to ensuring both uptime and innovation on-site. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you’ll apply your broad expertise across mechanical and electrical systems to resolve issues and drive improvements. From tackling breakdowns to leading installations, your hands-on approach will keep production moving and evolving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • React rapidly to breakdowns and keep production teams in the loop

  • Deliver effective PPM to reduce downtime and extend equipment life

  • Keep documentation, contractor logs, and maintenance records up to date

  • Lead on-site health and safety protocols, audits, and investigations

  • Support installation and commissioning of new machinery

  • Ensure audit-ready compliance at all times

  • Identify and remove inefficiencies in systems and processes

  • Maintain strong communication across departments and with suppliers

About You
You're not just reactive—you’re proactive, solutions-focused, and hungry to improve. You take ownership, work well across teams, and never settle for “just good enough.”

Your Skills & Experience:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering

  • 18th Edition (or willingness to work towards it)

  • Skilled with PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, TIG/MMA welding

  • Understanding of food production safety (HACCP, Food Safety Level 2)

  • IPAF and Permit to Work certified

  • Adaptable, resilient, and team-oriented
