We're seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our busy Commercial Property team at our Gainsborough office. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a well-respected firm, supporting experienced solicitors and fee earners on a wide range of commercial property matters.

The Role:As a Legal Assistant in our Commercial Property department, you will play an important role in the smooth running of transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of client files
  • Drafting and preparing legal documents, letters, and forms
  • Conducting searches and assisting with due diligence processes
  • Preparing and submitting applications to HM Land Registry
  • Communicating with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties
  • Opening new files and carrying out compliance and ID checks
  • Monitoring deadlines and key dates to ensure efficient file progression
  • Providing general administrative support, including file organisation and diary management
  • Supporting wider firm initiatives such as marketing and client events when required

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a legal or administrative role (commercial property experience is a plus)
  • Confident and professional communicator, both in person and over the phone
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Genuine interest in commercial property and the legal sector
  • LLB, 2:1 or above
