Reed Education are supporting a village primary with their recruitment for a Year 5 Teacher to join their school in DN10 from September 2025 for one year initially. This role is ideal for someone with Key Stage 2 (KS2) experience who is ready to take on full class teaching responsibilities, including planning and execution of lessons. Both experienced teachers and ECTs are welcome to apply.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons that meet the curriculum standards.
  • Manage a Year 5 class, ensuring a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to enhance student learning.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in school meetings and events.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of students' progress, attendance, and any other required documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in teaching Key Stage 2, ideally with specific experience in Year 5.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred.
