An Independent school in Gainsborough require a Teacher of ICT to teach small groups of students aged 7-16 who have additional needs. The primary need at the school is social emotional and mental health based, so the role requires a high level of empathy for students with adverse childhood experiences and an extreme level of patience and reilience is required to be successful in this role. Children at the school can struggle to regulate their behaviour and manage their emotions and at times, can display physical behaviours. You would have the full support of trained teaching assistants and the wider school community, in managing this safely.

You would be required to teach an adapted ICT curriculum which would meet the needs of the students who are working at lower than average, age related expectations.

The working hours are 08:45 - 16:15, Monday to Friday (no part time option available) and the role is paid to scales M1 - UPS3. This is a temp to perm role whereby you would complete 12 working weeks with Milk Education , at which point, the school has the option to sign a permenant contract and ideally, we are looking for teachers who would be interested in a permenant role at the end of the 12 week probationary period.

I am currently in the process of arranging visits to the school for interested parties , so please do not delay in applying if you are interested. This role is due to start in Novemeber, however, exceptions could be made for a January start if required.
