Job Title: Welder (TIG / Gas Process)
Location: Gainsborough
Salary: 14.01 - 16.61 per hour depending on experience
Job Type: Full-Time - Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: Immediate starts available
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG welding on automotive exhaust components, including pipes, mufflers, and flanges.
- Work with thin-gauge stainless steel and mild steel, ensuring clean, accurate welds with minimal distortion.
- Interpret technical drawings and fabrication specs related to exhaust systems.
- Fit, assemble, and weld parts to meet OEM or aftermarket specifications.
- Inspect completed welds for strength, accuracy, and appearance in line with industry and safety standards.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean, organised work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in TIG welding, particularly in the automotive or metal fabrication industry.
- Strong ability to weld thin materials without burn-through or distortion.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
