Job Opportunity: Steel Fixers
Location: Garelochhead
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 4 Months
Rate: 25 per hour CIS
We are seeking SC Cleared Steel Fixers with their own transport to work for a Fit-Out contractor completing work on a remote naval base for 4 months work.
Responsibilities:
- Read and followed engineering drawings to install steel reinforcement accurately.
- Cut, bent, and fixed steel bars and mesh to required specifications.
- Tied rebar using hand tools and ensured correct positioning before concrete pours.
- Worked on secure or restricted sites, adhering to SC protocols.
- Collaborated with site engineers and other trades to meet project requirements.
- Operated safely in high-security environments, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Followed health and safety procedures, including use of PPE and safe manual handling.
- Carried out quality checks to ensure reinforcement met structural standards.
Requirements:
- Must already have SC Clearance - Will not be able to access site without.
- You will be required to complete a security form in order to gain access to the site.
- Driving License and Own Transport - remote site location.
- Previous site labouring experience preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently and follow health and safety guidelines.
