Head Housekeeper – North East Based Hotel
Adkins & Cheurfi Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Head Housekeeper on behalf of our client's hotel based in the North-East. This is a key leadership role where you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the housekeeping department. You'll lead, inspire, and develop your team while ensuring high standards, strong performance, and excellent guest experiences. Building a positive and trusted relationship with the client will be central to your success, helping to ensure long-term partnership and service excellence.
The Opportunity
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact by:
- Leading, motivating, and supporting your housekeeping team to deliver outstanding results and maintain strong on-site relationships
- Ensuring all housekeeping services consistently meet and exceed quality standards
- Carrying out regular floor walks and room inspections to maintain attention to detail
- Managing site budgets and performance targets, with daily awareness of results and a focus on cost control
- Reviewing weekly performance alongside the Operations Manager
- Overseeing recruitment, engagement, and development of the on-site team
- Ensuring all team members receive effective training to meet quality, productivity, and safety expectations
- Maintaining compliance with statutory requirements and company policies, including training and documentation
- Promoting a safe, secure, and positive working environment through effective safety and security practices
The ideal candidate will be/have:
- Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper or in a similar supervisory or leadership role
- A strong track record of managing teams and driving continuous improvement
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
- Good IT skills and experience using digital systems
- Experience in coaching, training, and developing team members
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements and training delivery
- A flexible, positive attitude and a great sense of humour

Full-time, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week up to £30k per annum.
