Hyreus are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager for a reputable client in the Gateshead area of North East of England.

The company are looking to attract an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations.

Note a valid forklift truck licence is essential, as the role requires both management and practical warehouse duties

Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient handling of incoming, stored, and outgoing goods.
Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse staff to achieve performance and operational targets.
Operate forklift trucks safely and effectively when required.
Maintain accurate stock levels, inventory records, and documentation in line with company standards.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and company operational procedures.
Plan and oversee scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to meet service and customer delivery deadlines.
Collaborate with transport, logistics, and procurement teams to optimise end-to-end supply chain efficiency.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and accuracy within the warehouse.

The Candidate

Proven experience in warehouse management or a supervisory position within a similar environment.
Valid forklift truck licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach).
Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
Solid understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
