The CompanyWe are pleased to be supporting a successful manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join their teamThe RoleA people focused role, the successful candidate will play a key role in moving the warehousing fuction forward, driving efficiency and engaging the existing team.Some of the key accountabilities will be:
  • Lead and oversee operations during their shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow,
  • Responsbile for inventory management, team performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Work proactively with colleagues to develop workplan and resource plans to ensure customer demand and SLAs are met
  • Continuously strive to deliver excellent service across all channels.
  • Provide constant coaching and support to their direct reports with a view to identifying areas for development
The PersonWe are looking to speak to candidates who have experience working at pace and taking ownership of their shift.Some of the key skills and attributes are:
  • Demonstrable experience gained in a fast paced environment managing large teams to achieve measarable goals.
  • Experience in leading managers to deliver results with their own teams through effective coaching and implementation of development plans. 
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, calm and level head under pressure
  • Experience of leading and initiating change management initiatives and driving continuous improvement processes. 
  • Extensive experience of managing resource plans and demand forecasts to effectively align resources to operational and financial targets. 
  • Strong communication and people leadership capacity with a leaning towards building highly engaged and motivated workplace teams.
