Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Gateshead, North East
Hours: 37.5 per week

Company Overview:
An established civil engineering firm specialising in roads and sewers is expanding its team in Gateshead. We are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and oversee budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.
Conduct cost value reconciliation and financial reporting.
Administer contracts, including managing variations and claims.
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure optimal value.
Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders for seamless project delivery.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying (from any construction background).
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional experience.
Strong understanding of construction contracts.
Excellent cost management and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Full UK driving licence.
Right to work in the UK.
