About the Role:

  • Lead commercial activities across decarbonisation project at Gatwick, ensuring delivery on time and within budget

  • Work closely with project teams to provide proactive commercial support on-site

  • Manage contractual obligations and commercial risks from inception to project completion

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and vet contract documentation to ensure alignment with tender requirements and contractual obligations

  • Develop and maintain Commercial Risk Registers for each contract; monitor risks and implement mitigation measures

  • Prepare and issue enquiries for major plant, equipment, and sub-contract packages; review quotations and negotiate terms

  • Raise purchase orders and manage supplier/sub-contractor procurement

  • Prepare and submit applications for payment, invoices, and progress client payments per contractual provisions

  • Measure, submit, and agree variations, loss & expense, and compensation events

  • Monitor on-site record keeping and issue contractual notices where necessary

  • Prepare monthly cost value reconciliations, cash/spend profiles, and attend contract review meetings

  • Authorise and code supplier/sub-contractor invoices for payment

  • Measure, certify, and agree sub-contractor interim valuations and final accounts

  • Provide commercial guidance and support to site management teams

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, ideally within renewable energy, aviation, or M&E projects

  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management best practices

  • Experience resolving complex or disputed accounts to finality

  • Competent in financial and contract management software (desirable)

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
