About the Role:
-
Lead commercial activities across decarbonisation project at Gatwick, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
-
Work closely with project teams to provide proactive commercial support on-site
-
Manage contractual obligations and commercial risks from inception to project completion
Key Responsibilities:
-
Review and vet contract documentation to ensure alignment with tender requirements and contractual obligations

Develop and maintain Commercial Risk Registers for each contract; monitor risks and implement mitigation measures

Prepare and issue enquiries for major plant, equipment, and sub-contract packages; review quotations and negotiate terms

Raise purchase orders and manage supplier/sub-contractor procurement

Prepare and submit applications for payment, invoices, and progress client payments per contractual provisions

Measure, submit, and agree variations, loss & expense, and compensation events
-
Monitor on-site record keeping and issue contractual notices where necessary

Prepare monthly cost value reconciliations, cash/spend profiles, and attend contract review meetings

Authorise and code supplier/sub-contractor invoices for payment

Measure, certify, and agree sub-contractor interim valuations and final accounts

Provide commercial guidance and support to site management teams
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification
-
Proven experience in quantity surveying, ideally within renewable energy, aviation, or M&E projects
-
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management best practices

Experience resolving complex or disputed accounts to finality

Competent in financial and contract management software (desirable)

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
