Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Product Design Engineer (Cabin Components) to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, validate and introduce Cabin components into vehicle programmes. Cabin component commodities are pre-dominantly 'Make to Print' enabling full responsibility of the development process to be managed.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Have a good understanding of the full product development life cycle.
  • Manage the component delivery plan to quality, cost and time.
  • Lead on the technical content and integrity of specific components and systems across specific programmes.

Skills required:

  • Previous experience of managing resolution of business, technical and process issues.
  • Understanding and experience in new product development life cycle.
  • Experience of problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of Digital, CAD, CAE, etc tools to develop component system geometry.
  • Skilled in key software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience within engineering discipline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Understanding or working knowledge of the Agile Process.

Education required:

  • Degree qualified or minimum 3 years equivalent experience.
