Expleo is hiring a Surface Materials Integration Lead Materials Engineer on a contract basis to support our leading automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire. This exciting opportunity sits within the automotive and engineering sector, focusing on innovative material and colour development aligned with programme milestones and manufacturing readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver production-feasible and process-capable material specifications (physical and digital).
  • Collaborate with Materiality Designers, suppliers, and engineering teams to track outputs and performance.
  • Ensure material concepts are aligned with programme gateways and ready for application.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in materials engineering, ideally within the automotive sector.
  • Strong understanding of material technologies and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and project tracking skills.
  • Good aesthetic judgement, colour vision, and perception.

Additional Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence (travel to suppliers and manufacturing sites required).
  • Flexibility for occasional overseas travel at short notice.
