FE Tutor - To teach Life skills, Functional Skills Maths & English to young adults with additional needs. All learners are being supported into work related roles and their education supports this.

Salary: MPS based on qualifications & experience

Are you QTS/QTLS trained and able to facilitate the education provision for the young adults with additional need? Recruiting on behalf of the client who is looking for an inspiring, highly motivated individual who will be able to coach, mentor and nurture young adults in the development of their Maths, English and Independent life skills as part of our Supported Internship Programme.

You will be instrumental in furthering the magic in this very successful part of the Trusts provision for young adults in the 16 - 25 age range with a range of Special educational needs.

The successful candidate should be a good communicator and have excellent interpersonal skills. You will need to engage effectively with the young adults, colleagues, employers and Parents/Carers.

This FE Tutor role will involve the provision of support to interns with a disability helping them develop Functional Skills Maths and English alongside a curriculum that supports the development of life long skills. Another vital aspect of the role will be will in supporting employers and other workers to become confident in working with and supporting interns to carry out their duties. We are looking for an individual who has the vision and a drive to promote fair access to employment and enable young people to take their first steps towards independence.

The successful candidate will be provided with individualised professional support and induction; including accessing further professional qualifications as required.
