About the role of Site Manager
You'll be working with a leading house builder working alongside a team on timber frame and traditional units, based near Gillingham. They have numerous awards in the housing sector and pride themselves on quality, specialising in new build affordable and spec housing developments. You will be ensuring that the construction of the developments proceeds in line with the programme and within budgeted costs and to highest quality and health & Safety standards
Responsibilities for Site Manager
- Take full ownership of the day-to-day site operations to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards
- Coordinate and manage all on site activities, including subcontractors, labour and materials
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
- Monitor progress against the build programme and address any delays or issues proactively
- Conduct regular site meetings and briefings with site teams and contractors
- Manage and motive on site staff
- Maintain accurate site records
Requirements for Site Manager
- Previous experience working as a Site Manager within the residential sector, ideally on multi volume housing sites
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and Asta
- CSCS, 1st Aid and SMSTS
- Detailed knowledge of building processes including NHBC and Building Regulations
- Previous experience with Timber frame built sites would be desirable
