Trainee BMU/Cradle Engineer

Location: Rochester

Salary: £26026

Full-time | Permanent

(Must have a manual driving licence)

We’re on the lookout for a hands-on, enthusiastic trainee to join our clients team working on Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) and cradle systems. No need to be an expert - if you’re keen to learn and have a bit of background in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, our client will train you up.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting with installation, servicing, and maintenance of BMU/cradle systems
  • Learning the ropes from experienced engineers
  • Working at heights (don’t worry - full training & safety gear provided)
  • Travelling to different sites

What we’re looking for:

  • Interest or qualifications in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or Electromechanical Engineering (Level 2 or above)
  • Good attitude, team player, reliable
  • Happy to work at heights and outdoors
  • Strong practical skills and a good hands-on ability.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Willingness to undertake an NVQ qualification.
  • Ability to follow strict safe working practices and job instructions.
  • Reliability and strong organisational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Numeracy and literacy with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude to working away from home when required.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work well in a team and remain calm under pressure.
  • Motivation and enthusiasm to learn and grow in the role
