Production Technician

34,000 to 36,000 per annum, Benefits include 33 days holiday, Pension, Employee welfare scheme, canteen and car parking - Permanent position - Mon to Fri, 7am to 4.30pm (11am on Fri), based in Gillingham, Kent

Our client who are a leading manufacturer of stainless steel products for various industries, with a strong history in their field, are looking for a Production Technician/ Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Operations Manager and working as part of a team, this role would suit someone who has a strong mechanical background and aptitude.


Duties of the Production Technician will include:

  • Set, adjust and maintain bespoke production machinery used for cutting, forming and assembling metal parts
  • Fault finding on production machinery to ensure smooth running
  • Liaising with management regarding production schedules
  • Work with production staff to resolve technical and setting issues, including liaising with toolroom and maintenance departments

Skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in engineering environment a similar role
  • Good knowledge of Hydraulics and pneumatic, coupled with a good mechanical knowledge
  • Strong problem solving abilities and ability to work autonomously within a team environment
  • Working to ISO9001 standards
  • Strong communication skills

This is a very hands on role within a busy production environment, where you will be working to support customer demand. You will be working very closely with the Production Manager who will be able to offer additional support and training for the right candidate.
