Science Teacher – Gillingham, Medway
Full-Time, Immediate Start
Long-Term Opportunity (Until the End of the Academic Year)

Supply Desk are on the lookout for a dynamic and dedicated Science teacher who can turn classrooms into laboratories of discovery. If you’re ready to make a real impact – this is your moment.

This full-time position is available for an immediate start and will run until the end of the academic year. The ideal candidate will be experienced in teaching students with vulnerable backgrounds, SEND, and varying abilities, and will adopt a positive and inclusive approach in the classroom.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Science Teacher who is open to full teacher responsibilities and confident in building strong relationships with students while delivering high-quality lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan, mark, and assess work in line with school policies, meeting the needs of all students.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for students of all abilities.
  • Manage behaviour effectively, promoting respect and positive interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to address individual student needs.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and other school-wide events.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (all specialisms considered).
  • Confident in working with students from vulnerable backgrounds, with SEND needs, and a range of abilities.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a focused learning environment.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and inclusive teaching approach.
  • Commitment to promoting student progress and achievement.
  • DBS registered on the update service (or willing to obtain).
