Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team in Medway, working with students who need tailored assistance to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN.
- Assist in delivering tailored learning strategies to meet individual needs.
- Encourage students' confidence, independence, and engagement in lessons.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans.
- Assist with managing behaviour and promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with emotional regulation, communication, and social skills.
Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Previous experience working with SEN students or relevant training is preferred.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
- A current CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Understanding of various SEN conditions.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
