The Role

As a Mobile Plant Maintenance Technician, you'll be the go-to expert for maintaining and servicing a wide variety of plant and tools within a busy fleet. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of surfacing squads, minimising downtime, and preventing unnecessary costs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing plant and machinery

  • Procuring parts and managing maintenance records

  • Monitoring job sheets and ensuring customer satisfaction

  • Supporting plant selection and implementing proactive maintenance plans

  • Working closely with colleagues across all weather conditions, outside of the typical 9-5 routine

This is not just a maintenance role-it's about collaboration, problem-solving, and playing a vital role in the success of the wider team.



What We're Looking For

To be successful, you'll need:

  • Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic/Fitter (time-served or with a relevant mechanical qualification)

  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of plant and machinery maintenance

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills to work with colleagues and customers alike

  • A valid driving licence (essential)

  • A calm, adaptable nature and a genuine team-player mentality
