The Role
As a Mobile Plant Maintenance Technician, you'll be the go-to expert for maintaining and servicing a wide variety of plant and tools within a busy fleet. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of surfacing squads, minimising downtime, and preventing unnecessary costs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Troubleshooting and repairing plant and machinery
Procuring parts and managing maintenance records
Monitoring job sheets and ensuring customer satisfaction
Supporting plant selection and implementing proactive maintenance plans
Working closely with colleagues across all weather conditions, outside of the typical 9-5 routine
This is not just a maintenance role-it's about collaboration, problem-solving, and playing a vital role in the success of the wider team.
What We're Looking For
To be successful, you'll need:
Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic/Fitter (time-served or with a relevant mechanical qualification)
Strong, up-to-date knowledge of plant and machinery maintenance
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure
Excellent communication skills to work with colleagues and customers alike
A valid driving licence (essential)
A calm, adaptable nature and a genuine team-player mentality
