Adecco have an exciting role just in today for a Site Maintenance Technician to join our client in South Ayrshire,who are a leader in renewable energy.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining and operating the site. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within the renewable energy sector.

The successful candidate will be inducted and learn the basics of the operations involved in running the site including the inherent risks associated. The role will require training to become certified in telehandler operations. The role will carry out the necessary hands on labouring functions needed to maintain the high standards of safety and housekeeping that are required by the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate telehandlers for various site tasks, including using forks, buckets, and unloading operations. Training will be provided
  • Perform pressure washing of concrete bunds and walkways, general handyman tasks, and assist in site operations as needed
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across the site, including debris clearing and waste management
  • Transport materials and spares between sites using company vehicles
  • Assist with breakdowns and support the maintenance team as required
  • Assist with stores housekeeping, inventory checks, and receiving deliveries

Key skills:

  • Clean driving licence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), basic knowledge of engineering principles, and safe system of work
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders, entering confined spaces, and operating a JCB telehandler (training provided)
  • Work effectively within and across teams, sharing knowledge and skills
  • Take ownership of tasks, and maintain trustworthiness and respect
  • Embrace innovative thinking and challenge conventional processes
  • Desirable: NC/HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, GCSE equivalent in Chemistry/Maths/Biology, and basic engineering fabrication experience.
