TEXO Recruitment are sourcing for an experienced Finance Controller to join our external client, a well-established business leader in the landscaping and horticultural services industry.

Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Oversee finance assistants' tasks in Sage 50.
  • Prepare and review monthly accounts.
  • Manage sales ledger, debtors, and credit control.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Oversee payroll and staff pensions.
  • Review VAT transactions and prepare returns.
  • Ensure compliance with purchase order procedures.
  • Issue intercompany and departmental invoices.
  • Manage purchase ledger and supplier payments.
  • Verify subcontractors and handle CIS tax returns.
  • Manage HMRC payments and returns.
  • Liaise with auditors and banks.
  • Lead IT strategy and oversee IT upgrades.
  • Deputise for the Group Finance Director as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in finance management, preferably with Sage 50.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, VAT, payroll, and pensions.
  • Familiarity with HMRC regulations and CIS tax returns.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to lead IT strategy and manage upgrades.
