We are recruiting for a Financial Planning Accountant to join a forward-thinking organisation based in the heart of Glasgow City Centre. This role offers the perfect blend of remote working and occasional office collaboration, providing you with the flexibility to balance your professional and personal life.

As a Financial Planning Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional financial planning services across the organisation. Reporting to the FP&A Manager you will support the annual Business Planning process for both subsidiaries and the Group. Your expertise will ensure the integrity of financial forecasting models and that long-term financial projections are robust and aligned with current accounting policies.

The main responsibilities the position entails are:

  • Support the Finance Managers in updating subsidiary Business Plan models, ensuring financial projections are based on robust data and reflect strategic decisions.
  • Ensure financial statements and key ratios for subsidiaries meet current accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Identify key risks and perform sensitivity and scenario testing on business plans.
  • Update business plan models to reflect revised forecasts
  • Prepare financial forecast information for regulatory and key stakeholder reporting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality financial information, modelling, and advice for strategic initiatives and projects.

To be considered for the role, you must possess the following experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS).
  • Previous experience in a FP&A position or possess financial modelling experience.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work to your own initiative.
