Interim Financial Accountant

iMultiply are working in partnership with a growing organisation in their search for an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join our employer's dynamic finance team and play a key role in delivering high-quality financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making.
About the Role
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, statutory financial statements, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. You’ll work closely with cost centre owners, providing financial guidance and helping to drive cost efficiencies across the business.
This is a UK-based position reporting to the UK Finance Manager, with no direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs with detailed analysis.
- Manage general ledger activities including accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, and tax.
- Lead weekly/monthly revenue reporting and performance tracking.
- Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for UK cost centres.
- Provide financial advice to cost centre owners on budgeting and spend.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
- Prepare statutory accounts and support external audits.
- Handle VAT returns and liaise with tax advisers for UK tax submissions.
- Approve UK banking payments and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Drive process improvements and support ad hoc finance projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ICAS, ACCA, CIMA).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
- Background in manufacturing or fast-paced environments is beneficial.
