We are recruiting an experienced interim Financial Controller to work alongside the CFO of our rapidly expanding construction client.

The role is responsible for operational management and control of all financial elements of the company including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. This includes overseeing day-to-day finance operations as well as preparing accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and cash flow reports and developing and monitoring project budgets, ensuring profitability and cost control.

Additionally the business is in an exciting growth phase, predominantly led by investment and acquisition. The CFO is looking for right-hand support in M&A, largely through modelling, raising finance and integration.

As well as the general day-to-day responsibility of managing and growing the finance team, the FC will also be the lead in a new system roll out and taking on the entire budget process.

Candidates must be qualified with at least 5 years PQE in a similar role. A background in some element of the construction industry is essential to secure a knowledge of deferred income, milestone billing etc.

You must be available to start immediately and be comfortable with regular travel to Glasgow.

Initial contract term 3-6 months.
