Management Accountant - 12 Month FTC - Office Based

Join a dynamic retail organisation  as a Management Accountant. This maternity cover position is ideal for an experienced accountant seeking a varied role that offers exposure to all aspects of finance processes.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reports
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany reconciliation and group recharges
  • Manage cash flow reporting
  • Oversee all aspects of the company ledgers, including credit control, expenses, invoicing, supplier payments, budget analysis, and forecasts
  • Play a hands-on role in the financial management and operation of the business
  • Serve as the main point of contact for banking/trade facilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Continually assess and improve financial controls
  • Liaise with external company accountants and HR organisation
  • Be fully involved in the overall business strategy
  • Analyse financial data by collecting, monitoring, and creating financial models for decision support
  • Handle quarterly VAT and statutory returns

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • QBE or Part Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS)
  • Advanced knowledge of Sage
  • Excellent Microsoft skills, with advanced level Excel skills (use of formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and advanced level PowerPoint skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Able to work under pressure and flexible with a can-do attitude
  • Strong ability to integrate into a wider team and work well individually
  • Strong communication and presentational skills
