Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with our Glasgow-based client as they continue their impressive growth journey. As part of their continued expansion, a newly created opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant to join the team.

This is an exciting role offering real scope to contribute to business performance and work closely with senior stakeholders in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting and analysis across multiple entities. This position offers a broad range of responsibilities, with excellent exposure to strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and half/year end accounts
  • Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and associated analysis
  • Production of board reporting packs, offering meaningful commentary and insights for senior leadership
  • Conducting detailed financial analysis to support strategic decisions and drive performance
  • Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders to identify efficiencies and improve profitability
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process
  • Completion and submission of VAT returns
  • Assisting with internal and external audit processes
  • Involvement in a range of ad hoc financial projects as required

The main candidate will be:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or CA)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proven experience in preparing management accounts and financial analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to support business performance
  • Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • A proactive team player who supports a collaborative finance environment, including junior and transactional team members
