Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with our Glasgow-based client as they continue their impressive growth journey. As part of their continued expansion, a newly created opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant to join the team.
This is an exciting role offering real scope to contribute to business performance and work closely with senior stakeholders in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting and analysis across multiple entities. This position offers a broad range of responsibilities, with excellent exposure to strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and half/year end accounts
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and associated analysis
- Production of board reporting packs, offering meaningful commentary and insights for senior leadership
- Conducting detailed financial analysis to support strategic decisions and drive performance
- Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders to identify efficiencies and improve profitability
- Supporting the annual budgeting process
- Completion and submission of VAT returns
- Assisting with internal and external audit processes
- Involvement in a range of ad hoc financial projects as required
The main candidate will be:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or CA)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proven experience in preparing management accounts and financial analysis
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to support business performance
- Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive team player who supports a collaborative finance environment, including junior and transactional team members
