Role Overview
As a Design Engineer, you'll create detailed engineering designs for marine systems and structures, producing high-quality 2D and 3D outputs. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of components and systems for naval vessels.
Key Engineering Disciplines
- Structural Engineering:
- Design and modelling of bulkheads and decks
- Shell modelling and nesting
- Piping Engineering:
- Pipe routing and isometric drawings
- Electrical Engineering:
- Electrical system and component design
- Schematic analysis and cable management
- Cable segregation and load calculations
- Outfit Engineering:
- Compartment layout and equipment integration
- Design of ship access and escape systems
- Specification of insulation, coatings, and deck coverings
Tools & Technologies
- PTC Windchill
- Siemens Foran
