Detail Design Engineer - Marine Projects
Location: Glasgow Office
Are you passionate about delivering precision engineering solutions? Belcan is looking for a Detail Design Engineer with expertise in either Outfit, Structural, Piping, or Electrical design to join our Naval team.

Key Responsibilities
Detailed Engineering Design & Documentation:
- Develop and produce precise engineering drawings, 3D models, and comprehensive technical specifications using advanced CAD tools.
- Perform detailed calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection to ensure robust and compliant designs.
- Lead and contribute to design reviews, ensuring strict adherence to Belcan's Quality Management System (QMS).
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in detailed design within an engineering environment, ideally in Naval.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software and strong knowledge of engineering analysis tools (e.g., FEA, tolerance stack-up).
- Strong appreciation of environmental impact and sustainability in engineering activities.
