Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Warship) Aviation to join their team on a contract basis. This role is integral to their Naval Ships business unit, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the design integrity of warship aviation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert design solutions for naval and commercial ship systems
- Support system and spatial integration issues
- Utilise CAD software, such as AutoCAD or FORAN, to create detailed designs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration
- Assist in certification processes through Naval Authority Groups
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience in naval and/or commercial ship systems
- Experience with ship aviation design is desirable
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or FORAN
- Understanding of certification processes through Naval Authority Groups
- Degree qualified in a technology, engineering, or science-related discipline
- Basic membership of a Professional Engineering Institute recognised by the Engineering Council
