My client is part of a large multi national engineering group. ItsScottish base is a centre of engineering excellence. As a result of a recent promotion they are looking for a mechanical design professional to head up a team of design professionals to keep the company at the fore front of its market sector.

Responsibilities will include the development of design processes, working with multi disciplined teams to ensure that product design integrates with the manufacturing process. You will work closely with the quality teams to ensure that highest standards are maintained and exceeded. Above all you will be leading a team of engineers so it is anticipated you will have a demonstrable tract record in people management. It is expected you will have at least 10 years mechanical design experience, knowledge of lean manufacturing principles as well as familiarity with ERP and MES.
