Associate Director - Geo-Environmental Engineering (Glasgow Area)

The Associate Director Role

A strategic leadership position designed for an ambitious and technically astute Associate Director or experienced Associate ready to step up. You'll oversee diverse engineering teams on both legacy and new projects, while driving growth in the business's expanding geo-environmental and geophysics offerings.

With a focus on hands-off oversight, you'll ensure teams deliver on site investigation, contaminated land, engineering geology, geotechnical monitoring and material testing. Expect a varied client base, exposure to high-value engineering projects the chance to spearhead new initiatives within environmental engineering.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven success leading teams in geo-environmental, engineering geology, geotechnical or environmental consultancy (ideally projects above the rock head).
  • Sound understanding of contaminated land, soil/chemistry, hydrogeology, and SI-related geophysics.
  • Strong client management and business development skills, with a network across sectors like housebuilders, industrial, infrastructure, or similar.
  • Prior project and operational management experience: able to "herd cats", inspire teams, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Ability to bring innovative solutions and technical rigour.
  • Motivated by growth, change, and creating a positive, high-performing working culture.
