Job
The role of Legal Cashier will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
- Recording day-to-day financial transactions for clients and the firm
- Identifying and allocating client receipts
- Managing office and client payments efficiently
- Raising and processing cheques and deposit account transactions
- Ensuring accurate allocation of payments to fees and processing balance reports
- Reconciling client balances and deposit accounts thoroughly
- Investigating residual balances and assisting in various departmental tasks
- Maintaining high standards of information security and data protection
You
As a Legal Cashier you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:
- Proven experience in a busy cashiering or financial environment
- Knowledgeable about Solicitors Regulatory Authority, Anti Money Laundering Rules, and VAT
- Understanding of ledger posting processes and the importance of backing up documentation
- Professional demeanour with a commitment to high-quality service
- Flexible, proactive, and a strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Competent with IT applications, particularly MS Office and Excel
