The RoleThis newly created position combines bookkeeping responsibilities with office coordination duties, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business and contributing directly to its financial operations. The successful candidate will take ownership of the purchase order process, assist with bookkeeping and compliance activity, and act as a key point of contact for internal and external queries.

Key Responsibilities-
Managing purchase order processes: issuing, tracking, and reconciling

Supporting day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping tasks

Liaising with suppliers and service providers, including IT and facilities

Coordinating office operations to ensure efficiency and organisation

Assisting with budget preparation, forecasting, and reporting

Supporting audit and compliance activity by maintaining accurate records

Responding to administrative and financial queries from internal teams

Maintaining financial documentation and ensuring easy access for audit purposes
The ideal candidate will possess:

Previous experience in a finance support or office coordination role

Familiarity with purchase order systems and basic accounting processes

Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks)

Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities

High attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks

Effective communication skills for dealing with suppliers and colleagues

Experience in a technical or engineering business (desirable but not essential)
