We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a keen attention to detail, the ability to work with precision, and a strong understanding of tooling and materials handling processes. The Machine Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that production targets are met while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

  • Operate and monitor machinery, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools for assembly and disassembly of components.
  • Interpret technical drawings and CAD models using SolidWorks for precise machining tasks.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to machine operation or tooling.
  • Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with tooling techniques, welding processes, and materials handling practices.
  • Proficient in using CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for interpreting designs.
  • Experience operating milling machines and other industrial equipment is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand logic controllers and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
