We are currently looking for a Production Operator to work for an established engineering company, working in the Glasgow area. The Production Operator will be responsible for monitoring production tanks and complete job cards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate manual chemical plating lines for coatings such as Zinc, Zinc-nickel, Electroless nickel, Gold, and Silver
Monitor production tanks and adjust chemical additions based on analysis
Conduct X-ray testing to measure coating thickness
Complete job cards with detailed process information

Experience & Skills:

A minimum of standard grade education or equivalent qualifications
Strong manual dexterity with a keen eye for detail
Experience working to high-quality standards in precision manufacturing is a plus, though not essential
Awareness of health and safety protocols within the workplace
Previous plating experience is preferred, but comprehensive training will be provided
Adaptable and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Supportive of colleagues and willing to assist other departments as needed
Professional and courteous when interacting with customers
Respectful and considerate towards all team members
Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities
Able to solve problems effectively within the scope of the team
Maintains a positive attitude and is resilient in overcoming challenges
Disciplined in adhering to schedules and keeping accurate documentation
