We are currently looking for a Production Operator to work for an established engineering company, working in the Glasgow area. The Production Operator will be responsible for monitoring production tanks and complete job cards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual chemical plating lines for coatings such as Zinc, Zinc-nickel, Electroless nickel, Gold, and Silver
  • Monitor production tanks and adjust chemical additions based on analysis
  • Conduct X-ray testing to measure coating thickness
  • Complete job cards with detailed process information

Experience & Skills:

  • A minimum of standard grade education or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong manual dexterity with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience working to high-quality standards in precision manufacturing is a plus, though not essential
  • Awareness of health and safety protocols within the workplace
  • Previous plating experience is preferred, but comprehensive training will be provided
  • Adaptable and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Supportive of colleagues and willing to assist other departments as needed
  • Professional and courteous when interacting with customers
  • Respectful and considerate towards all team members
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Able to solve problems effectively within the scope of the team
  • Maintains a positive attitude and is resilient in overcoming challenges
  • Disciplined in adhering to schedules and keeping accurate documentation
