Class 2 Hiab Driver

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Brick Hiab class 2 driver to join our client in Uddingston. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle deliveries with care and professionalism.

Duties

• Ensure that all loads are secured properly before departure and during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Assist in loading and unloading goods as necessary, ensuring careful handling of products.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed lorries, is highly desirable.
• A valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence is required for this position.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer service.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in the logistics industry.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
