HGV 2 Driver

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established transport company based in Glasgow, for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering stability and the chance to join a growing team.

The role involves the collection and delivery of skips and waste materials across the Glasgow and central belt area. Previous experience within the skip or waste sector is highly desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle.

• Carry out daily vehicle checks in line with company and legal requirements.

• Ensure loads are secured correctly and comply with weight regulations.

• Follow assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely collections and deliveries.

• Provide excellent customer service on-site, representing the client professionally.

• Maintain accurate paperwork and records (delivery notes, compliance forms, etc.).

• Adhere to all health & safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.

• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.

• Previous skip or waste transport experience preferred (other Class 2 experience will be considered).

• Good knowledge of the Glasgow and surrounding routes.

• Strong awareness of Health & Safety.

• Flexibility, reliability, and a positive work attitude.
