Geotechnical Engineer -

Join an expanding, award-winning multidisciplinary engineering consultancy as a Geotechnical Engineer. Due to significant workload increases from ongoing successful project wins, we are looking for an ambitious engineer to join the Scotland team.

Location: Glasgow Area
Salary: 35,000-40,000

Working Arrangement: Hybrid working policy

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be involved in the full project lifecycle including:

  • Site Investigation & Analysis: Conducting comprehensive geotechnical investigations, ground studies, and desk-based assessments
  • Design & Engineering: Delivering geotechnical design solutions for foundations, retaining walls, earthworks, slope stability, and soil nailing systems
  • Technical Reporting: Preparing detailed geotechnical reports, specifications, and design documentation
  • Client Liaison: Working directly with clients, contractors, and consultants to provide technical solutions and project support
  • Site Work: Undertaking periodic site visits and ground investigation supervision across the UK
  • Software Applications: Utilizing geotechnical design software with GEO5 experience particularly desirable

The role offers exposure to major infrastructure projects with significant involvement in power sector developments, complemented by commercial, nuclear and emerging rail opportunities.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence - essential for site access and investigations
  • Permanent right to work in the UK without requiring work permits
  • Willingness and ability to obtain security clearance for defence and nuclear projects
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally for short-term UK site work
