Section Engineer

We are currently supporting a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor in their search for a Section Engineer to join their project delivery team in Scotland. This is a great opportunity to take responsibility for a key section of work on a range of civil engineering and rail projects.

As a Section Engineer, you will:

* Plan, coordinate, and oversee specific sections of site works.
* Provide technical guidance and support to site engineers and operatives.
* Ensure work is carried out safely, on time, and in accordance with design specifications.
* Manage setting out, surveying, and quality control activities.
* Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
* Liaise with Site Agents, Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to project reporting.

We're looking for someone who has:

* A degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience as a Site Engineer or Section Engineer on civil engineering or rail projects.
* Strong setting out and surveying skills (Total Station, GPS).
* Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Good communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors.
