This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client, a fast-growing, forward-thinking Multidisciplinary Consultancy, currently in the process of establishing themselves as an industry-leading team of design experts in the Water and wider Civil Engineering sectors. They are currently on the lookout for a keen, capable Senior Civil Engineer with demonstrable knowledge of drainage and non-infrastructure design who is willing and able to lead a team through their delivery of an array of challenging projects. You will be responsible for leading a bright new team of design engineers, based just on the outskirts of the artsy, popular city of Glasgow.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

- Delivering on a broad range of design projects and developments

- Leading a team of Civil Engineers, providing mentorship and guidance as they develop professionally

- Overseeing a variety of aspects of engineering projects, delivering them to the highest of standards within agreed budgets and timescales

- Leading the delivery of a number of residential, commercial, and industrial projects

- Building and maintaining important professional relations with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors

- Preparing and checking reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and other such technical documents

- Enforcing company policies and procedures, ensuring all colleagues consistently adhere to best practice

- Upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times

- Delivering business development strategies, acting as a trusted company representative

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

- A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a similar, relevant field

- Possess Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised Professional Body, or proactively working to attain this

- Extensive experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK-based consultancy setting

- Demonstrable experience of working with water-based projects

- Experience of detailed civil engineering design, particularly drainage systems and strategies

- Proficient in the use of various software packages (including Revit, AutoCAD, etc.)

- Considerable experience of preparing reports and other technical documents

- Prior experience of leading projects and/or teams

- Experience of managing client and stakeholder relations

- Good organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

- A UK Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or Hydrology (or a cognate discipline)

- Specific experience of working with non-infrastructure projects (such as reservoirs, pumping stations, etc.)

- Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments

- Experience of Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS)

- Experience of working in a public-facing role
